4/2/04 10:33:02 PM: David, a flamboyantly gay British bloke, got onstage at a Deep Purple (Smoke on the Water, My Woman in Tokyo) concert in Shanghai. There was apparently a large amount of alcohol consumed before and during the show, which prompted him to bypass security and get up to Ian Gillan. I don’t think he stayed long, despite Ian’s urgings, and was escorted offstage and out of the arena. He came back to the Kiwi immediately, and proceeded to pick up Snow, put on her glasses and throw her on the pool table – in a very loving manner of course. We all have amended the story to highlight how David was onstage with Deep Purple, and omit certain facts such as how security immediately seized him and threw him out.
